Hampton Court Palace

Hampton Court Palace is the oldest Tudor palace in England. Built by Cardinal Wolsey it was given by Henry VIII. Visitors can see the State Apartments, one of the finest collections of tapestries and paintings in Europe, the Tudor kitchens, the sunken gardens featuring England's oldest tennis court and the famous maze. Admission is £10.50 for adults and £7 for children for entry to all areas. If you are just visiting the maze there is a separate charge for the maze of £2.30 for adults and £1.50 for children. It's open Monday 10.15am-4.30pm and Tuesday-Sunday 9.30am-4.30pm. The nearest rail station is Hampton Court.
